Lady Musgrave Island, easily accessible by day trip from 1770, offers exceptional snorkeling and scuba diving within its sheltered lagoon, teeming with colorful corals, fish, and turtles. For fishing enthusiasts, the waters around Lady Musgrave Island and offshore reefs like Fitzroy and Lamont Reefs are renowned for species such as coral trout, sweetlip, and red emperor. Additionally, closer to the mainland, estuaries like Round Hill Creek and offshore areas offer diverse fishing opportunities.

The park plays a vital role in conserving the natural vegetation and providing habitat for local wildlife.

The Discovery Trail

Agnes Water Beach to Chinaman's Beach​​

Approximately 30-45 minutes one way (can be extended).

​

A scenic coastal walk along the sandy beach, leading to the secluded Chinaman's Beach. Enjoy the ocean views and the sound of the waves. You might spot shorebirds along the way.

Round Hill Creek Foreshore Walk

Starting various points along the foreshore in the Town of 1770, allow 10-30 minutes depending on the section.

A pleasant walk along the edge of Round Hill Creek, offering views of the calm waters, mangroves, and local birdlife. It's a great spot for a leisurely stroll at any time of day.

Wild Cattle Creek Track

Starting at the camping area within Eurimbula National Park. Approximately 45-60 minutes loop.

 

A slightly longer walk through coastal woodlands and vine thickets, offering a glimpse into the diverse vegetation of the park.

  • Wear Appropriate Clothing and Footwear: Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking, and dress in layers as weather conditions can change. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
     

  • Carry Sufficient Water and Food: Especially for longer walks, ensure you have enough water to stay hydrated and pack some snacks for energy.
     

  • Be Aware of Wildlife: Observe wildlife from a distance and never feed them. Be cautious of snakes, especially during warmer months.

  • Stay on Marked Trails: Stick to designated walking tracks to avoid getting lost and to protect the natural environment.
